Kate Newton
Senior Associate Solicitor & Mediator
As a Family Solicitor at Fullers Family Law, my focus is to support clients across a range of Family Law matters.
Throughout my career, I have gained experience from well-known regional and London-based boutique family law practices.
I focus on listening to what your needs are and tailor my advice based on your situation, your priorities and the solution you seek. I take a non-confrontational approach to cases and wherever possible and appropriate, try to reach agreements out of court, therefore, reducing cost and stress. When necessary, I can bring my extensive court experience to matters when litigation is the most well-suited strategy.
My practice extends to all areas of private family law including divorce, pre-nuptial agreements, finances and injunctions, among other areas. I advise across a range of private children matters, including child relocation, and most recently on cases involving children with disabilities or complex needs. In addition, I draw from experience acting for high-net-worth clients, including cases involving UK and overseas properties and business interests.
I am also a mediator and can mediate on all family related issues including separation, divorce, finances and children. Mediation can be a cost-effective way of resolving issues. It is a safe and confidential environment which can help you feel empowered in the decision making process.
Understanding the individual needs of each client is a priority. I always ensure the intricacies of each case, needs of the client and the desired outcome are clearly communicated, considered and understood.
I sit on both the Surrey Resolution and YRes (Young Resolution) Committees and am also a member of Resolution. This is an organisation that promotes a non-confrontational approach to family law issues.
